WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Operating Room Nurse for an on-going contract a ambulatory surgery center in East Setauket, NY.

Job Function:

\n

• Day Shift.
\n
• Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner within the facility EMR.
\n
• Prepares the operating room for patient procedures and assists other staff with breaking down the room.
\n
• Assists in positioning patients and responds to their comfort and safety needs.
\n
• Ensures accurate care and handling of specimens.
\n
• Initiates corrective actions whenever necessary.
\n
• Observes and enforces strict standards of asepsis.
\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
\n
• 1 years of experience in this specialty.
\n
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
\n
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
\n
