Global CCDO - Chief Commerical Data Officer


Our client, one of the big 5 consultig firms is seeking a Global CCDO - Chief Commerical Data Officer on a fulltime permanant basis.
Vision: To pioneer a commercial data leadership role that addresses critical business challenges by leveraging advanced data strategies, modern technology platforms, and business acumen - establishing a truly data-driven commercial function that unlocks new growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Commercial Data Officer (CCDO) to join our executive leadership team at the Managing Director level. The CCDO will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the data strategy, driving data-driven transformation, and unlocking the value of data for AI across the organization and our clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in organizing, commercializing, and modernizing data infrastructure, with a focus on innovation and strategic growth.



Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and own the global commercial data strategy aligned with overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across commercial, technology, strategy, and legal functions to ensure data initiatives prioritize business outcomes.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing data team, nurturing talent and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop data professionals to drive organizational excellence.
• Data Strategy & Execution
  • rchitect enterprise-wide commercial data frameworks including data governance, quality, lineage, and security with business depth.
  • Design and implement scalable data platforms and portals enabling real-time, actionable commercial insights for sales, marketing, and advisory functions.
  • Data Modernization: Spearhead efforts to modernize data infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enable seamless data integration and management.
  • I and Advanced Analytics: Oversee the application of data for AI and advanced analytics, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation. Partner with technical teams to develop AI-driven solutions that address complex business challenges.
  • Data Governance and Compliance: Establish robust data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations. Promote best practices in data management and stewardship.
• Commercial Data Enablement
  • Collaborate closely with technology teams to build next-generation tools and dashboards that empower business partners with deep insights and predictive capabilities.
  • Translate complex data science and analytics outputs into clear, business-relevant narratives to support growth strategies and client engagements.
  • Identify new revenue streams from data assets and insights offerings, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
• Stakeholder Management & Influence
  • ct as the key commercial data evangelist and advisor to senior leadership and partner teams globally.
  • Foster partnerships with external technology vendors, data providers, and innovation partners.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for commercial data teams globally.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in senior commercial data leadership roles with cross-functional exposure to business, technology, and analytics.
• Experience working at or with Fortune 500 companies or similar, with firsthand delivery of data-driven business transformations.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite executives and translate data into commercially relevant insights.
• Strong leadership skills, w/ experience managing global, x-disciplinary, & remote teams.
• Demonstrated track record of organizing, commercializing, and modernizing data infrastructure to drive business transformation.
• Expertise in data-driven transformation, including the application of data for AI and advanced analytics.
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership & team mgmt. skills, with a focus on collaboration & innovation.
• dvanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
