Title:Commercial Roofing Superintendent- Clinton, MDLocation:Clinton, MD, USASalary:$75,000.00 - $85,000.00/yearWe are growing our team and looking for a superintendent with commercial roofing experience that prioritizes safety and productivity.Provide leadership to foremen, fostering safety, teamwork and discipline resulting in efficient and professional roof system installationProvide consistently high-quality work and resultsRepresent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers, personnel and the publicEffectively manage all aspects of production to meet company and project goalsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following (other duties may be assigned):Supervise foreman to lead safe and efficient roof system installationsOversee field staff, assisting foremen with crew leadershipVisit job sites dailyConduct or participate in daily safety auditsTrain field staff in safety, work skills and efficiencyProvide ongoing feedback to foremen regarding job performanceResolve complaints and grievances; assist with disciplinary actions when necessaryDiscuss opportunities for professional developmentConduct annual performance reviewsRecommend raises and promotionsEnsure Production and quality goalsMaintain understanding of contract information for jobsTrack labor hours and production against stated goalsSchedule materials, equipment and deliveries, paying special attention to usingInventoried materialsMonitor material usage, minimize waste, anticipate shortages and order materials as neededCoordinate, supervise and manage subcontractorsMonitor quality of installationsDeliver Excellent Customer ServiceReview plans and sites, delegate crews and do all pre-job planning including but not limited to assist safety in creating site-specific safety plans and work plan efficienciesEnsure crews have information and instructions necessary to complete jobsSubmit reports and paperwork and otherwise coordinate communication between office and job sitesInvestigate incidents, near misses, accidents and thefts, and provide relevant documents, photos and assessments to the officeReview final paperwork to ensure change orders are reflected and billedParticipate in manufacturer final inspectionQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:High School Diploma or GED plus three years in a commercial roofing environment.Considerable knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.Safety Training: OSHA 30-Hour CardGood knowledge of state and local building codes including Uniform Building Code, and electrical and plumbing codes.Some knowledge of: construction site development; commercial construction, demolition, and remodel proceduresExperience: determining roof types and estimating materials, hours, and replacement costs for commercial roofing projects; directing large-scale commercial roofing projects; interpreting roofing plans, specifications and standards; determining roofing product acceptability and developing warranties; developing and monitoring construction and contract documents.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, in English, and comprehend drawings and specifications, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
