Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Wage: $25.00 per hour

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Accounts Payable Specialist position at a company in Plymouth, WI. This position has the opportunity for hire.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing accounts payable related to miscellaneous invoices that do not have a PO and require approval for payment.
- Processing accounts payable related to purchase requisitions submitted and approved.
- Processing payable and check runs for logistics company.
- Preparing journal entries for storage and accounts payable; reconciling accounts and providing supporting documentation when needed.
- Verifying the accuracy of outside storage invoices.
- Monitoring vendor files for taxable status and preparing data for 1099 processing; working with CPA firms to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitoring AP mailbox for correspondence.
- Processing any other miscellaneous approved employee expenses and reimbursements.
- Bulk value-added reconciliation.
- Drop ship inventory reconciliation.
- Providing necessary audit and tax reports as necessary.
- Providing backup related to other accounts payable workflows.
- Performing special analyses and other projects as directed.

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
- Associates degree in accounting with 5 years' experience OR bachelor's degree in accounting with 1 year experience.
- Experience related to general ledger journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and typing abilities.
- Proficient use of excel spreadsheets, knowledge of iBMI, among other Microsoft products.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and efficiently.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Comfortable with sedentary environment and being on computers and telephones frequently.
