• Location: Lexington, KY 40536 (Kentucky healthcare jobs)\n
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract\n
• Duration: 14 weeks (Start: 01/13/2026 – End: 04/21/2026)\n
• Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts/week (rotating start times: 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM)\n
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800–$1840\n
• Call: 2-3 call shifts per 6-week schedule (weekday/weekend as needed)\n
• Unit: Interventional Radiology PACU (Prep/Recovery)\n
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics\n
• Number of Beds: 24\n
• Average Daily Census: ~50 patients\n

\n\nPACU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Compact or Kentucky RN license (required for Kentucky nursing jobs)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nurse experience, including phase 1 recovery\n
• At least 1 year of ICU nurse experience\n
• Experience with pediatric patient care (not limited to pediatric PACU)\n
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred\n
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (PALS may be obtained before start)\n
• Proficient in arterial line management, ventilated patient care, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition/management, medication reconciliation, and pre/post Interventional Radiology procedures\n
• Willingness to float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed\n
• Ability to work rotating start times and stay late 3-4 times per 6 weeks\n
• 1 reference from a charge nurse or supervisor required at submission\n
• Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted\n

\n\nPACU RN Responsibilities – Interventional Radiology\n

\n
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients in the PACU setting\n
• Monitor and manage phase 1 recovery and ICU-level patients, including pediatric and adult cases\n
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to clinical emergencies\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more\n
• Provide discharge instructions and ensure safe patient transitions\n
• Float to main PACU for patient recovery after hours as needed\n
• Participate in orientation, annual modules, and ongoing competency exams\n
• Maintain compliance with all documentation and regulatory standards\n
