**Opportunity Overview**
The Test Operations Utility Driver is Responsible for conducting commercial motor vehicle (CMV) moves as needed on TuSimple property and to ensure CMVs are secured, clean, and operational. Additionally, this position conducts calibration testing on vehicle sensors
to ensure proper functionality.
**Role Responsibilities**
* Monitor the driver request channel for truck moves and coordinates with others to fulfill multiple requests.
* Manage JP Lane use by parking trucks that are done offloading to maintain efficient use of this area.
* When moving trucks note fuel and DEF levels and take all trucks with less than ? tank of fuel to the Pilot for fuel, or
coordinate with dispatch to tag an available driver to do this.
* Operates the vehicle when conducting calibration testing.
* Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable company, local, state and
federal regulations.
* Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
* Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the Production Services Team and
Fleet Management.
* Conducts all vehicle washing including surveying the yard for tractors and trailers that need attention
* Coordinates with truck cleaning vendor, including scheduling washes and providing a JIRA ticket number.
* Coordinates with Production Services team daily as to which vehicles are washed so unit numbers can be matched to
JIRA ticket number.
* Manage all trailer decaling including communication with the vendor, ensuring the space is cleared in the building for
the work, and communicating with dispatch to identify which trailers will be worked on and when they are available for
use.
* Load and secure any trailers that are needed for testing by managing water totes and ensuring there are sufficient
straps to secure the totes
**Experience & Skills Required**
* Current CDL and medical card
* 1-2 years verifiable CDL driving experience.
* Clean driving record and pass the required DOT physical and drug screens
