As a Security Officer - Utilities Site - Armed Patrol in Lutz, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a critical utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proper licensing at all times. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns within the location, including utility infrastructure areas.
• Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors to provide assistance and enforce site rules and regulations.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Support emergency response efforts, including coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and protocols relevant to a utilities environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
