A part-time counselor position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting near Cordele, GA. This role is ideal for a guidance counselor with experience addressing the unique developmental and academic needs of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The position offers a contract for the new school year, providing a structured schedule to serve approximately 30 students with focused counseling services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing individual and group counseling to K-12 students
• Assisting with academic planning, social-emotional development, and crisis intervention
• Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
• Managing a caseload of about 30 students to monitor progress and adjust interventions
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating student needs confidentially

Qualifications or desired experience:

• Certification or licensure as a school counselor or guidance counselor
• Experience working within K-12 educational settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored for young learners
• Ability to manage time effectively in a part-time, contract position
• Knowledge of student development, mental health issues, and academic advising
