\n \n School Counselor / 504 Consultant – Key Responsibilities \n504 Plan Support & Mentorship
\nProvide hands-on training and support to staff on how to develop, implement, and manage 504 Plans effectively.
\nOffer guidance and mentorship to new team members responsible for compliance and documentation.
\nServe as a subject matter expert on Section 504 regulations and procedures.
\nStudent Counseling & Support
\nDeliver individual and group counseling services to students with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
\nAddress issues impacting students’ school performance and well-being.
\nGeneral Consultation
\nWork as a consultant on an as-needed basis to support school teams with student interventions, behavioral strategies, and overall social-emotional programming.
\nCollaborate with teachers and administrators to assess student needs and recommend appropriate strategies.
\nCollaboration & Case Management
\nPartner with school teams, families, and community agencies to support student success.
\nMaintain accurate documentation and provide input during student support meetings.
\nCrisis Response
\nAssist in responding to crisis situations that may impact the school community.
\nProvide short-term interventions and support planning as needed.
\nRequired:
\nStrong understanding of 504 Plans and legal compliance
\nAbility to train and mentor others in 504 documentation and implementation
\nMust be eligible to work in the U.S.
\nCriminal Background Check and TB Clearance
\nPreferred:
\nPrevious experience working in a K–12 school setting
\nExperience conducting staff training or coaching
\nBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
\n Environment: Occasional exposure to typical school conditions including dust, noise, and changing environments.
Activity: Regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Sensory: Ability to perform essential job duties with or without assistive devices or accommodations, including in moderate to high noise environments.
