Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Care, where you will provide and coordinate exceptional nursing care in a non-acute medical office or urgent care setting. Your role will be essential in ensuring adherence to professional standards and Prisma Health’s core values.

Deliver direct nursing care while adhering to established policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with the state's Nurse Practice Act.
Apply your unique knowledge and skills in ambulatory care nursing to promote wellness and restore health.
Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patients' diverse needs.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with nursing protocols.
Document and coordinate comprehensive patient care, including assessments, education, and safety measures.
Delegate tasks effectively to healthcare team members in accordance with patient needs and staff qualifications.
Follow strict infection control and safety protocols to create a safe environment.
Communicate patient conditions and concerns clearly with the healthcare team.
Educate patients and families on recommended self-care tasks post-visit.
Integrate patient and family education throughout care delivery, empowering informed health decisions.
Foster a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
Act as a role model, contributing to the education and mentoring of team members.
Participate actively in departmental meetings and organizational training.
Utilize resources efficiently while maintaining a clean and caring environment.
Take responsibility for your professional development and continuing education.
May serve as a preceptor or participate in shared governance.
Adhere to all compliance policies and procedures within the organization.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, or director.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) is required; BSN preferred.
Experience - No prior experience is necessary.
In Lieu Of
An RN diploma or certificate with a current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State will be accepted in lieu of an ADN.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
Must hold a current RN compact/multistate license or be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of employment.
