Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor with experience in women's clothing. This individual will be responsible for supervising our Inspection team and ensuring the quality level all the products we manufacture. The QC Supervisor will uphold guidelines for our products to pass/fail inspection, as well as ensure standards for thoroughly tracking and providing inspection feedback about products to Design & Sales. This individual will be critical in maintaining our quality standards and upholding the safety regulations that our products must meet. Other expectations include regular product evaluations, detailed inspection results, and recommendations for improvements to the production process.

This individual will report directly to the Shipping Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that products comply with company and industry standards.
  • Train Inspection team members on all processes.
  • Work with QC team to maintain quality at sewing contractor shops.
  • Document defects and recommendations for improvement; provide detailed feedback to Design.
  • Prepare and present quality audit reports to management & Distribution Center counterparts.
  • Clearly communicate with all departments in writing and/or verbally regarding defective and unacceptable merchandise.
  • Offer suggestions as needed to improve processes or efficiencies.

Education Requirements

  • High school Diploma / GED.
  • Strong measurement skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in both English and Spanish (bilingual) is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to question and learn new responsibilities quickly.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of apparel manufacturing and quality control / assurance experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, garment measuring, quality control/assurance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must have proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word.
