Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Construction

A leading provider of water storage and wastewater treatment solutions across the Southwest and South-Central U.S. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team in McKinney, TX . This role involves managing multiple small to mid-scale water and wastewater construction projects , including the design and installation of treatment systems and bolted steel storage tanks .

Position Summary:

The Project Manager will oversee projects from contract award through installation, startup, and commissioning . The primary focus will be wastewater treatment system installations ranging from 25,000 GPD to 2.0 MGD , as well as water storage tank construction . This individual will coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and documentation.
• Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors for smooth project delivery.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget .
• Define project scope and technical objectives with stakeholders.
• Track progress and measure project performance using established tools and KPIs.
• Oversee subcontractor relationships and conduct risk management to minimize delays or cost overruns.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication throughout all project phases.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and change orders as needed.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company quality control policies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the construction or design/operation of wastewater treatment plants or related infrastructure.
• Proven background in construction project management with knowledge of all construction phases, including plumbing, electrical, and civil.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook) .
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and OSHA regulations .
• Strong understanding of concrete construction and site coordination.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel regionally and occasionally internationally.
• Wastewater or Water Plant Operator License is preferred but not required.
