Established in 1977, we have locations all over Northern California including Sacramento, Grass Valley, Roseville, Stockton, Modesto, Merced, Fairfield, Elk Grove, Folsom, Yuba City and Chico. Our physicians are nationally known, and we continue to be on the leading edge of retina care by utilizing the latest equipment and both participating in and designing new clinical trials to advance the state of care for retinal diseases. Join our team members working for our nationally recognized retina specialty practice in a fast paced, high volume ambulatory surgery center.

This is a full-time position for a pre-op/post-op/OR RN working in an ambulatory surgery center for ophthalmology in Sacramento, CA. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery
• Take and record vital signs
• Initiate IV and ensure patients are informed about their procedure
• Assess patients post-operative status by monitoring vital signs and utilizing the Aldrete score 
• Prepare patients for discharge in a timely and thorough manner to maintain patient flow 
• Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of sterile technique preferred but not required
• No weekend/holidays
