A respected appellate-focused law firm is seeking a Part-Time Contract Attorney (4687)  to support its practice in Washington State. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional in-office visits for meetings or review of materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with appellate procedure and strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Review trial court records, filings, and reports of proceedings
• Draft appellate briefs for submission to the Court of Appeals
• Prepare for and potentially deliver oral arguments before appellate courts
• Follow the firm’s document formatting and procedural standards
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support appellate matters
  
   

Qualifications:

• Licensed attorney with experience in appellate practice
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with appellate standards and procedures in Washington State and/or federal courts
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a flexible, part-time setting
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  
   

This is a part-time, primarily remote position based in West Seattle, with occasional in-office visits as needed. The firm offers competitive compensation on a part-time basis and the flexibility to manage workload remotely.

Compensation: TBD Hourly, DOE
