Job Description

Spherion Staffing is looking for a skilled Medical Device Assembler II to join our team, focusing on the meticulous assembly of medical devices. You'll work in a cleanroom environment, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to strict safety and quality standards. This role requires excellent dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow precise instructions.

Shift Details:

This is a full-time position with a Monday through Thursday schedule, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM . Friday overtime may be required as needed.

Candidates should have a good history of attendance, clean background check and pass a drug test prior to start.

Pay Rate: $23.85/hr

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or 2-3 years of previous medical device assembly or ISO-certified assembly experience in lieu of a diploma).
  • Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and follow cleanroom practices and procedures.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures, sequence, and pace.
  • Fine motor skills and a high degree of dexterity and eye coordination to work with and assemble small parts and subassemblies using both hands.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1-2 years of previous medical device assembly or ISO-certified assembly experience.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practice, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, or in person with supervisors, leads, and team members.
  • Basic MS Windows skills and site-specific PC programs.
  • Experience operating manufacturing and measurement equipment such as microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, pressure gauges, and rulers.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for building medical devices on two or more product lines , consistently hitting and even exceeding production goals.
  • You’ll learn, understand, and apply our Quality System Policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records of your work.
  • You’ll use your knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles to help improve our metrics and will proactively inform your team of any material shortages.
  • You'll cross-train on different product lines and may assist in training new team members.
  • You’ll follow instructions from your supervisor on schedules and priorities, adapt to new procedures, and use your time effectively. You'll also volunteer in our Shared Leadership activities, like Kanban Management.
  • You’ll help us maintain a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines.
