Salon Assistant Position for Cosmetology Students

At Keema Salon, we are looking for a passionate, talented Salon Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a cosmetology student you can be part of our Artist Academy Program where you will gain hands-on experience while receiving exclusive education and training from some of the best professionals in the industry.
What Were Looking For:
- Cosmetology Student or 1+ year salon assistant experience
- Full-time (25-30 hours per week) including weekends
- Passion for Beauty: A genuine love for the beauty industry, hairstyling, and providing excellent customer service
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to understand client needs, work closely with the salon team, and provide exceptional service
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with other team members and contribute to a positive salon environment
- Continuous Learner: Eagerness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and techniques
- Appearance: Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a high-end salon setting
Duties Include but are Not Limited To:
- Salon Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the day on our salon floor, back bar, and color bar area, including sweeping floors, restocking supplies, and laundry. Ensure the day runs smoothly with the stylists.
- Laundry Duties: Fold and put away laundry as required.
- Salon Trays: Prepare salon trays and ensure they are clean and well-organized.
- Opening/Closing Procedures: Thoroughly follow opening and closing procedures to ensure a smooth operation.
- Assist Stylists: Greet and prepare guests for services (shampooing hair, applying basic treatments), assist stylists with tasks as needed.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed with our salon haircare products and services to assist guests with recommendations.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent guest support, and perform all duties behind the shampoo bowl (shampoo, condition, scalp massage).
