Willow Street Pictures is a  high-energy fine art portrait studio , located in a beautifully restored 100-year-old bank building in Harleysville, PA and a 2nd located in a renovated post office in West Lawn, PA.

Known for our candid, dynamic portraits, we capture the unique relationships between loved ones with images that embody action, spontaneity, and genuine emotion.

Unlike traditional studios,  we don’t rely on “stand on the X and say cheese” setups.  Our clients love the natural, unscripted feel of our portraits that capture authentic moments in motion.

Job Description:

We are looking for a  Freelance Photography Assistant  to support our team of passionate creatives. As an assistant, you will bring high energy, positive emotions, and the ability to make people laugh and dance spontaneously—adding to the fun, vibrant atmosphere of each photo shoot.

We’re seeking photo assistants with a keen eye for detail, a passion for photography, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment—someone who can effortlessly loosen clients up, get them laughing, dancing, and even singing along to the music, making them feel like total rock stars.

Responsibilities:

• Bring high energy and positivity each day, creating a fun and engaging experience for clients and creatives.
• Make clients feel at ease by encouraging laughter and even a little dancing to capture truly spontaneous moments.
• Assist with pre-production and post-production tasks for indoor, outdoor, and on-location photoshoots.
• Support the photographer with styling, lighting, and pet handling.
• Drive company vehicles safely to various shoot locations.
• Handle and transport up to 30 pounds of professional photography equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with our creative team to ensure smooth, efficient photoshoot experiences.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in photography or as a photography assistant.
• Valid PA Driver’s License.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively in all types of environments, from our studio and outdoor settings to clients’ beautiful, lavish homes.
• Comfortable working in hot and humid or chilly and brisk, whatever the weather brings on the day of the shoot, you can handle it with ease and professionalism.
