About the Role:

The Tax Professional plays a critical role in representing our clients in proceedings with the IRS and/or State Tax Agencies. This position involves negotiating tax liabilities, managing client files, and developing strategies to relieve taxpayers from aggressive collection actions. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding our clients toward favorable resolutions.

What You'll Do:

• Negotiate past due tax liabilities with the IRS and State Tax agencies.
• Manage client files and collect documents relevant to resolution strategies.
• Prevent enforcement actions by conducting negotiations with Revenue Officers.
• Prepare detailed financial statements and execute applications for tax relief programs.
• Provide guidance to case managers regarding client file management.
• Prioritize caseloads and complete tasks as needed, including appealing program rejections.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be an Enrolled Agent, CPA, or licensed Attorney.
• 4+ years of experience in resolving federal tax issues through negotiations with the IRS.
• Proficient in federal and state tax laws or possess strong research skills.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Audit experience with IRS and state tax authorities is a plus.
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
