Responsibilities: As a member of an interdisciplinary design team: Provide technical environmental expertise to engineers designing transportation projects Perform environmental investigations including field work Prepare technical reports with recommendations Prepare environmental permit applications and supporting documents Communicate with clients, stakeholders, permitting agencies and the public Present results of studies Cooperate and coordinate with other design team members Requirements: BS in environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, biology or equivalent Certification to delineate wetlands and similarly environmentally sensitive areas Experience preparing applications for NJ, PA and/or NY environmental permits for transportation projects in wetland, flood hazard, coastal and tidal areas.
