About the Role

We’re partnering with a global leader in technical education and advanced manufacturing to find a Mechatronic Technology Curriculum Developer . This contract to hire role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about combining hands-on engineering expertise with training and workforce development .

You’ll help design and build technical learning content that equips technicians and engineers for success in automation, robotics, and semiconductor environments. If you enjoy translating complex systems into practical, real-world learning, this role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and enhance training curriculum focused on mechatronics, industrial automation, and robotics.
  • Turn deep technical concepts into clear, structured, and engaging learning modules.
  • Collaborate with engineers, educators, and subject-matter experts to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Apply your understanding of how systems interact — from PLCs and controls to higher-level MES systems.
  • Contribute to workforce-upskilling initiatives that support the next generation of advanced manufacturing talent.
  • Work on-site the first 2-3 weeks in the Mason, OH area during onboarding, with remote work after ramp-up.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Background in industrial automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing .
  • Experience programming or integrating Siemens PLCs (or similar).
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills — able to explain how things work.
  • Familiarity with topics like Cyber-Physical Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Network Topologies , and Production Planning is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Industrial Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical Technologist, or Automation Specialist background.
  • Exposure to semiconductor or high-speed manufacturing environments .
  • Understanding of how mobile robots, cobots, and automation systems work together.
