The Opportunity:

Whittier Street Health Center is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join our OB/GYN team. This role is focused on outpatient prenatal, gynecological, and women’s health care — no labor or deliveries. You’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with physicians and hospital partners, and play a key role in advancing health equity for women in Boston.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care, including exams, Pap smears, and office procedures
• Lead Centering Pregnancy group visits for prenatal patients
• Educate patients on prenatal, postnatal, family planning, and menopause care
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital partners to ensure continuity of care
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic medical record system
• Support Whittier’s mission by delivering high-quality, community-based care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Current Massachusetts nursing license as a Nurse Midwife
• Certification by the American College of Nurse Midwives
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in obstetrics
• Minimum 2 years of midwifery practice with demonstrated clinical competencies
• Strong knowledge of maternal/fetal growth, gynecological care, and midwifery practice standards
• Ability to assess, treat, and educate patients independently while collaborating with a care team
