We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk III to join our team in Zebulon, NC (27597). In this advanced-level role, you will support internal controls, financial reporting, planning, and analysis to help drive operational success across the area. \n Location: Zebulon, North Carolina 27597
\n Employment Type: 12-month contract (Contract-to-Hire)
\n Pay Rate: $41.00/hour
\n Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
\n Worksite: Onsite

\n\n \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n Accounting & Reporting \n\n
    \n\t
  • \n\t

    Support Area Finance Director in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Collaborate with leadership on customer profitability analysis and contract compliance

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Assist with internal financial reports, variance analysis, and operational insights

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Maintain accurate financial records and fixed asset tracking

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Handle vendor issue resolution and manage internal documentation (MIRs, DMTs, PCOs)

    \n\t\n
\n\n Compliance & Controls \n\n
    \n\t
  • \n\t

    Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) compliance across area and distribution centers

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Act as point of contact for internal control matters within the area

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Monitor and support processes related to audit readiness and financial accuracy

    \n\t\n
\n\n Planning & Forecasting \n\n
    \n\t
  • \n\t

    Assist in the preparation of budgets and balance-of-year forecasts for multiple sites

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Conduct weekly Flash and monthly forecasting, collaborating with stakeholders

    \n\t\n
\n\n \n Qualifications: \n\n
    \n\t
  • \n\t

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required

    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Experience:

    \n\n\t
      \n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      7+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience, or

      \n\t\t\n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      5 years of public accounting experience

      \n\t\t\n\t
    \n\t\n\t
  • \n\t

    Skills:

    \n\n\t
      \n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

      \n\t\t\n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      In-depth knowledge of GAAP and SOx compliance

      \n\t\t\n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      Excellent communication and organizational skills

      \n\t\t\n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally

      \n\t\t\n\t\t
    • \n\t\t

      Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
